A CONSERVATIVE PATHLINE SCHEME FOR THE TWO-DIMENSIONAL EULER EQUATIONS

In this paper, a "conservative pathline" difference scheme is proposed for the unsteady Euler equations, it follows the pathline (bi)characteristic and is of second-order accuracy. The proposed method consists of the basic scheme, fourth-order dissipation, the corresponding boundary scheme and boundary condition modification; it is simple and has good stability. For discontinuous solutions, the non-linear filtering of 3] is used, obtaining clear numerical discontinuities without too much computational effort, while maintaining the main features of the method. Preliminary numerical experiments show that the method is successful, and the conclusions are correct.
