Abstract: | The chloroform-soluble and n-butyl alcohol-soluble fractions of water extract of Pyrolae Herba inhibited platelet aggregation induced by arachidonic acid and showed a positive inotropic effect. A new naphthoquinone and a new tetralone derivative and known chimaphilin, acetovanillon, and toluhydroquinone were isolated as active constituents. Three new tetralone derivatives were also obtained from an active fraction. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated. |
