A new spot test for vanadium (V) |

| Abstract: | Summary A new specific color reaction for the detection of vanadium(V) has been described. This consists in treating the vanadium(V) solution with 0.1% sodium salicylate solution in a medium of 20 N sulphuric acid or sirupy phosphoric acid. A turquois blue color results. |
