Abstract:In order to reduce the negative effect of non-line-of-sight(NLOS) error on positioning accuracy,a time of arrival(TOA)/angle of arrival(AOA) hybrid localization algorithm based on scatterer localization is proposed.Assuming that the multipath signals received by each base station(BS) have experienced a single scattering of scatterers,the AOA information of the multipath signals measured by each BS is used to locate each scatterer,and then the distance between the scatterer and mobile station(MS) is estimated by the TOA information of the multipath signals measured by each BS.Then the scatterers are used as virtual base stations to constrain the possible location range of MS,and the grid search method is used to obtain the possible estimated locations of multiple MS.Finally,the constrained average method based on BS reference position points is used to calculate the estimated position of MS.Simulation results in different NLOS scenarios show that the proposed algorithm achieves better positioning performance than the original algorithms.
