| Abstract: | This paper deals with the characterization of M-matrices and H-matrices, with positive diagonal entries, in term of strongly accretive matrices. The applications concern on the one hand the convergence analysis of parallel asynchronous Schwarz alternating method, applied to the solution of nonlinear boundary value problems and on the other hand the Liapounov stability analysis for large scale evolution systems.This revised version was published online in October 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date. |
