| Abstract: | A series of 2‐(1H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐1‐yl)‐2H‐1,4‐benzothiazines were designed and synthesized by condensation of 1,2,4‐triazole‐substituted ω‐bromoacetophenones and o‐aminothiophenols with the aid of K2CO3 under mild conditions with moderate to high yields. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
