| Abstract: | The effect of nucleophilic catalysis on phosphorus trichloride oxygen oxidation is discovered. A number of nucleophilic catalysts for the phosphorus trichloride oxidation are found. Triethylamine, 4‐dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP), and tetramethylurea are amongst them. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
