Abstract: | An experimental arrangement is presented which has been proven capable of measuring Thomson scattering from an inductively coupled plasma (ICP). This system has been shown to reject stray light to a sufficient extent that useful scattering signals can be measured as near as 0.3 nm from the incident laser wavelength. In this paper, design considerations are discussed and a viable experimental system is described. Preliminary Thomson scattering results are presented. |
