| Abstract: | Model tests can be used to predict the performance of full-scale off-road vehicles and earth-moving and agricultural machines as an aid to their design and development. The principles of similitude as applied to soil-machine system modeling are discussed, and some past studies and examples of these applications are examined. The opportunities for future research to improve these techniques are identified. |
