Abstract:A procedure is described for determining silver electrolytically after first precipitating the silver as silver chloride. The silver chloride is filtered through a filter paper, and the filter paper and precipitate are treated with a mixture of perchloric, sulfuric, and nitric acids. The solution is then evaporated to fumes of sulfuric acid, and the silver determined electrolytically by the cyanide method.
