A semilinear heat equation with a localized nonlinear source and non‐continuous initial data

Abstract:This paper is devoted to the study of the Cauchy problem for a semilinear heat equation with nonlinear term presenting a nonlinear source centered in a closed region of the spatial domain Ω. We assume that urn:x-wiley:1704214:media:mma1490:mma1490-math-0001 is either a smooth bounded domain or the whole space urn:x-wiley:1704214:media:mma1490:mma1490-math-0002, urn:x-wiley:1704214:media:mma1490:mma1490-math-0003 The initial data urn:x-wiley:1704214:media:mma1490:mma1490-math-0004 is assumed to belong to the Lebesgue space urn:x-wiley:1704214:media:mma1490:mma1490-math-0005.
