Abstract: | A novel photocatalytic synthesis of sulfonated oxindoles from N‐arylacrylamides and arylsulfinic acids was developed by means of a cascade C?S/C?C bond‐formation process. This method provides mild, efficient, and atom‐economical access to various sulfonated oxindoles in water. |
