Amperometric determination of copper with mandelamidoxime

Summary A rapid method for the amperometric determination of copper with mandelamidoxime is described. About 0.5–8.0 mg copper(II) at a concentration of ca. 0.8–3.2 mM can be determined with accuracy (error less than ± 1%) in an ammonium chloride — ammonia buffer medium using a simple manual apparatus with a microammeter (0–50 A) of large scale for measuring the current.
