The viscoelastic deformation of an orthotropic body (half-plane) by a rigid punch

Abstract:The method of operator continued fractions is used to solve the problem on the stress state in a viscoelastic orthotropic half-plane loaded by a punch at the instantt=0. The pressure in the half-plane is determined on the basis of the Volterra principle and by solving the corresponding elastic problem. The influence of the rheological parameters on the stress state of the half-plane is shown by an example for a composite material. S. P.
