| Abstract: | Convenient and facile one step synthesis of medicinally relevant new 3,6-epoxy1,5]dioxocines from 2-hydroxyaromatic benzaldehydes is described. The scope of the method was validated by examining the use of both electron rich and electron-deficient 2-hydroxyaromatic benzaldehydes. |
