| Abstract: | The cooperative attack of four (dipyrromethanyl)Sm(II) units on dinitrogen resulted in a novel tetranuclear samarium dinitrogen complex (shown schematically). The presence of halogen atoms inhibited reactivity with dinitrogen through the assembly of divalent samarium clusters. dipyrr=diphenylmethyldipyrrolide dianion. |
