| Abstract: | The effects of a laser beam on PC are examined in relation to the power and duration of the light pulse. In uniaxial tension there is a sharp change in the relative elongation of the irradiated specimens (pulse length 10–3 sec); the elastic modulus and the molecular weight remain unchanged.
