| Abstract: | The first step for the analysis of a sample with known scope of components is to, pick out the species really exisiting in the sample. This was treated as a problem of variable selection, and a fast algorithm for identifying the qualitative composition of the sample has been proposed. There is no need for the proposed method to acquire a set of sample mixtures with varied concentrations as for the case of target transformation factor analysis. Qualitative and quantitative analysis can be accompclished by using just one sample. The method has been testified by analyzing amino acid and drug mixtures using infrared and ultraviolet/visible spectrcmetry with satisfactory results. |
