Abstract: | Liquid-liquid driven cavity flow was studied numerically. Information on "realistic" liquid-liquid interface conditions were obtained from photochromic flow visualization experiments. With this input, numerically obtained flow fields agreed well with experimentally observed flow fields. A parametric numerical study showed the influence of various parameters on the behavior of interface velocity and tangential shear stress gradients in the vicinity of the liquid-liquid interface. |
