| Abstract: | Chemical and spectroscopic evidence for the structural formula 9 of chlorothricolide methyl ester, derived from the aglycone of the antibiotic chlorothricin, is given. By chemical degradation and spectroscopic investigations structure 41 is deduced for the intact antibiotic. |
