| Abstract: | Franck-Condon factors and R-centroids for the transition from the B2Σ electronic state of CN to the A2Π state have been calculated. The validity of the Morse potential energy function for this system has been studied by using the calculated values of αe. Also, the ratios 〈rn〉/〈rn−1〉 have been obtained to check the applicabili ty of the R-centroid approximation. |
