“Negative heat capacity” of stratified fluids

In “doubly nonequilibrium” fluids (e.g., solutions with stratified temperature and impurity concentration in the gravitational field), situations are possible when the addition of heat decreases temperature and vice versa. This is demonstrated by the simple example of a convection problem.
