Abstract:The laser forming is a new sheet metal forming process which is caused by laser induced thermal stresses without rigid dies. The laser forming process is introduced, and principal factors of influencing on laser forming are discussed. The relationships of laser beam energy, material properties and geometrical parameters to bending angles of sheet metals are studied.
