| Abstract: | One-step access to (1-iodovinyl) arenes from trimethylsilyl ethynylarenes is described. The method is superior to a conventional multi-step approach, and is enhanced by the Sonogashira reaction that provides ready access to a variety of trimethylsilyl ethynylarenes. |
