A self-consistent approach to localization transition

Abstract:
The Anderson transition is investigated using a self-consistent approximation in analogy with mean-field approximations in classical spin systems. Mobility edge trajectories in a three-dimensional disordered system with various distributions of the site energies are obtained. The present results are qualitatively in good agreement with the results obtained by using the finite-size scaling method.
