Temperature dependence of the energy of point dipole interaction with the surfaces of solids

The effect of temperature on the energy of the interaction of mirror image forces of a point dipole with the surfaces of metals and dielectrics is considered. It is shown that as a dipole approaches a surface and/or the temperature falls, the chaotic motion of the dipole axis becomes more and more ordered, establishing the conditions for the dependence of the dipole interaction energy not only on the distance to the surface but also on the temperature.
