Study of protein association and micelle formation in surfactants by microcolumn exclusion chromatography

Abstract:The application of microcolumn exclusion chromatography to the determination of equilibrium and kinetic association constants for proteins is described. Taking phospholipase A2 as an example, the relationship between association and enzymatic activity was investigated. A procedure for determination of the critical concentration of micelle formation (CCM) in surfactants was developed.
