| Abstract: | A review with 63 references during 1982 to 1992 is given on the development of porous polymeric beads as gas chromatography stationary phase. The types of polymer used and related preparation, modification, application, basic theories and some problems met during processing are reviewed. The new types of ester-containing porous polymer and the supportporous polymer are especially to be paid for attention, because of these polymers have greater column efficiency, higher selectivity, and lower column temperature. The re-producibility of porous polymer in GC application will be improved by using high purity starting materials. |
