| Abstract: | The Mössbauer spectra of 57Fe doped NH4MnCl3 reveal that this compound undergoes a crystallographic phase transition at 258°K and becomes magnetic at 105°K. No crystallographic transition appeared either in NH4FeCl3 or in 57Fe:NH4CoCl3; the latter orders magnetically around 27°K. |
