| Abstract: | Proton NMR spectra of the dicyano benzenes, dissolved in a nematic liquid crystal, have been measured and analysed. Ratios of interproton distances have been determined in each case. Accurate values for the indirect couplings and chemical shifts of ortho and meta dicyano benzene have been obtained in acetone. |
