Abstract: | The fundamental quasilinear, decoupled equations of equilibrium and motion of heated orthotropic circular plates are derived from the energy equation in the light of a generalised analysis of a Berger-type which is based on the assumption that the effect of second strain invariant in the expression for total energy may be neglected. Solutions are obtained by Poincare's method of successive approximation and numerical results are given in graphical form for both static and dynamic cases of orthotropic circular plates, simply supported or clamped throughout the edge. |
