| Abstract: | Brillouin light scattering from the orthorhombic sinle crystal sym-trichlorobenzene has been measured at room temperature. Sound velocities for the longitudinal waves. Experimentally independent of the magnitude of the wave vector, are given for the trhee principal directions in the crystal. The elastic constants Cii, with i = 1, 2 and 3, are derived. |
