| Abstract: | The Diels-Alder reaction between a quinone monoimine and cyclic diene allows for the construction of substituted carbazoles in a regiospecific manner. This methodology has sucessfully been employed in a divergent strategy, culminating in the synthesis of eustifolines A-D and glycomaurrol. |
