Abstract: | The electrochemical reduction of Th/IV/ in the /Li–K/Cl eutectic between 400 and 500 °C proceeds according to a four electron process without any intermediate step. The reduction is quasi-reversible and the diffusion coefficient deduced from the peak current of the voltammetric reduction equals 2.7×10–6 cm2 sec–1 at 400°C. |
