Generalized oscillator strengths for some higher valence-shell excitations of krypton atom

The valence-shell excitations of krypton atom have beeninvestigated by fast electron impact with an angle-resolvedelectron-energy-loss spectrometer. The generalized oscillatorstrengths for some higher mixed valence-shell excitations in 4d, 4f, 5p, 5d, 6s, 6p, 7s $leftarrow$ 4p of krypton atom havebeen determined. Their profiles are discussed, and the generalizedoscillator strengths for the electric monopole and quadrupoleexcitations in $5p leftarrow 4p$ are compared with the calculationsof Amusia it et al. (it Phys. Rev. A textbf67022703 (2003)). The differences between the experimental results andtheoretical calculations show that more studies are needed.
