| Abstract: | New aromatic polyketoacids and polyquinones have been obtained by reaction of pyromellitic dianhydride with phenanthrene, napthalene or 2-methylnaphthalene in the presence of AlCl3. The influences of the reaction conditions and structure of the hydrocarbons on thermal stability of the resultant polymers have been examined. |
