| Abstract: | A simple and practical procedure for the synthesis of 2‐aminothiazoles from α‐tosyloxyketones and thioureas is described using PEG‐400[poly(ethylene glycol‐400)] at ambient conditions. The developed protocol is successfully applied for the preparation of an anti‐inflammatory drug, Fanetizole. |
