| Abstract: | A new type of monomeric liquid crystal with isothiocyano(--NCS)terminal group was pre-pared. The product characterization was carried out by IR. DSC, hot-stage polarization microscopeand elemental analysis. The results showed that these monomers with isothiocyano group have a widerange mesomorphicstate and high thermal stability. This study laid a foundation for the preparation ofnovol side chain polymeric liquid crystal. |
