| 摘 要： | 敏感词语指那些可能有意或无意地侮辱或冒犯他人因而需要谨慎使用的词语。英语敏感词语主要包括种族或民族侮蔑语、性别歧视语、年龄歧视语、疾病和残疾歧视语、性取向歧视语和称呼歧视语。高阶英英学习五大词典主要采用用法标签、用法说明和用法插页标示敏感词语的用法限制,而高阶英汉词典主要采用前两种方式。敏感词语的用法标示对高阶英语学习者提高语言敏感性有着重要的作用。

| Abstract: | Sensitive language refers to words that should be used with caution for they can,intentionally or not,insult or offend some people.Sensitive English words are mainly related to such sensitive topics as racial or ethnic groups,gender,age,illness and disability,sexual preference and titles.＂The most famous five＂ English monolingual advanced learner＇s dictionaries indicate the usage restrictions of sensitive language mainly with usage labels,usage notes and essays on sensitive language inserted in the dictionary body,whereas English-Chinese advanced learner＇s dictionaries mainly use the first two methods.Indication of usage information about sensitive language has an important role to play in promoting language awareness of advanced learners. |
