| Abstract: | The results of investigations of the common and distinctive features of various chemical bonds, including intermolecular bonds,
were considered. The geometries, atom charges, and force constants of the bonds in a dependent system of coordinates were
calculated for five boroxide molecular species using the MINDO/3 method. The correlations found between the force constants
and the bond energies in the O3B...O bridge were compared with the analogous relations for the OH...O bridge.
