| Abstract: | A Sm(II)-mediated, asymmetric, intermolecular ketyl-olefin addition employing alpha,beta-unsaturated esters linked to resin through an ephedrine 'chiral link' has been applied in a direct 'asymmetric catch-release' approach to gamma-butyrolactones. |
