| Abstract: | A theoretical and experimental investigation has been made into the dynamic equilibrium shape of an axisymmetric film of liquid formed when a jet encounters an obstacle. It is shown that the stresses due to elastic deformation of the liquid have a significant influence on films of polymer solutions.
