An increase in the wavelength of light pulses propagating through a fiber |

| Abstract: | An increase in the wavelength of an optical pulse propagating through a conventional fiber is considered. It is shown that the light wavelength increases gradually owing to a transfer of part of the pulse energy to acoustic waves. |
