New approaches to the separation of evaporation and atomization-excitation in atomic spectrometry
Authors:T Kntor
Abstract:This review is aimed at compiling the references of those communications which deal with the construction principles and applications of combined spectroscopic sources. A “combined source” is considered here as having an on-line coupling of two high temperature units; the one producing gaseous species, vapour species and/or aerosol particles from the sample, and the other serving for the spectroscopic observation (absorption, emission, fluorescence) of the substance generated. Combined sources are classified into two groups according to whether vapour or aerosol is transported predominantly between the interfaced units for the less volatile constituents of samples.
