Atomic absorption spectrophotometric determination of strontium in Kola Phosphate rock The phosphate sample is dissolved in hydrochloric acid. After adjusting the pH of the sample solution to 2–3 the cations are separated from phosphate by the cation exchanger Lewatit S 100. Before the cations are eluted with 4 N hydrochloric acid the column is washed with 0.01 N hydrochloric acid. The eluate is diluted and strontium is determined in this solution by atomic absorption spectrophotometry using the method of standard addition.
