Abstract: | The previously proposed procedure for the determination of heats of thermal gas-phase reversible reactions using kinetic spectroscopy was extended for the case of the formation of two intermediate species with overlapping UV spectra. The model problem was solved, and the error of the method was estimated. Applicability of the method was shown for the reversible formation of trimethylenemethane (TMM) and but-1-ene-2,4-diyl from methylene-cyclopropane. Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk.
