| Abstract: | Palladium?/platinum? porphyrin complexes emit strong phosphorescence at room temperature, which is characterized by long lifetimes falling into millisecond range and long-wave spectra. These features make the dyes useful as probes for a number of bioanalytical applications. Biomedical applications of the probe such as phosphorescent label for immunoassays, diagnosing cancers, detecting deoxyribonucleic acid, biosensors and others are reviewed in this article. |
