Carbocycle annelated 1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-α]pyrimidines

Reaction of 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole with mono- and dibenzalcycloalkanones gives 4,7-dihydro-1,2,4-triazolo1,5-a]pyrimidines annelated by five-, six-, or seven-membered carbocycles. They can be dehydrogenated to the corresponding heteraromatics.
