《新制灵台仪象志图》:插图来源及其与南怀仁制造的天文仪器的关系(英文)

南怀仁编撰的《新制灵台仪象志》共十六卷,其中卷1至4是关于仪器的制作、安装和使用的论述,卷5至14是各种天文表格,卷15、16卷是与仪器有关的各种示意图,即《新制灵台仪象志图》(《仪象图》)。探讨图与前4卷关于仪器论述的内容对应关系。《仪象图》中的117幅图大多来自西方文献。考证所有这些图的出处,给出对应西方著作中的原图以作比较。

Xinzhi Lingtai Yixiang Zhi Tu: Origins of the Xylographic Prints and Their Relation to the Constructed Instruments of Ferdinand Verbiest

The Xinzhi Lingtai Yixiang Zhi compiled by Ferdinand Verbiest in 1674 contains 16 volumes. Volumes 1-4 are discussions of the construction, installation and applications of the astronomical instruments. Volumes 5-14 contain various astronomical tables. Volumes 15-16 present all related illustrations concerning the instruments. These last two volumes has been called Yixiang Tu. The Yixiang Tu contains 117 graphs (prints), almost all of them were modified from graphs in Western sources. This article presents a detailed historical investigation of the origins of these prints, comparing the originals with the prints in the Yixiang Tu.
