| Abstract: | The water-soluble Pd-salen complex, palladium(II) N,N′-bis{[5-(triphenylphosphonium)methyl]salicylidene}-1,2-ethanediamine chloride, is a highly active catalyst for the copper-free Sonogashira coupling of aryl iodides with terminal alkynes in water under aerobic conditions. |
